Course: EDUC250 Educational Psychology

Description: For this assignment, I was required to find twenty different instructional strategies from the internet that I felt like I could really use in the classroom. Along with a website, I gave a brief description of the specific strategy as well as the reason I chose it.

Rationale: To demonstrate my understanding of Standard #8: Instructional Strategies, I have included my Instructional Strategies Websites assignment. This project fits well with this standard because it exposed me to a number of different instructional strategies that I was not previously aware of. This assignment is something that will definitely come in handy when I’m in a classroom and able to look back for new tips.

Artifact Name: Final Lesson Plan

Date: December 2016

Course: EDUC250 Educational Psychology

Description: For this assignment, I was required to work in a group of three to create a lesson plan for a specific grade and subject of our choice. Along with creating the lesson, we were required to teach the lesson to our class.

Rationale: To demonstrate my understanding of Standard #8: Instructional Strategies, I have included my Final Project Lesson Plan assignment. This project fits well with this standard because I provided multiple models and representations of concepts and skills with opportunities for learners to demonstrate their knowledge through a variety of products and performances. With the creation of this lesson plan we used a variety of instructional strategies to support and expand learners’ communication through speaking, listening, reading, writing, and other modes.
