Course: EDUC233 Children's Literature

Description: For this assignment, I was required to do some extensive research on the different types of awards given to children’s books and the requirements to receive and be nominated for them. I then compared and contrasted different a few different winners while giving my opinions on the books as well.

Rationale: To document my understanding of INTASC Standard #5: Application of Content, I have chosen to include my Honors Book Project from the Children's Literature course. In this assignment I developed and implemented support for learner literacy development across content areas. I believe this project shows the value I place on knowledge outside of my own personal content area and how the knowledge may enhance mine or my students’ learning.
