Description: In this assignment, I was required to complete a parent interview, multiple child observations and create and deliver various cognitive, developmental and moral assessments.
Rationale: To document my understanding of INTASC Standard #6: Assessment, I have chosen to include my Child Study. In this child study I was required to use multiple appropriate types of cognitive, physical, linguistic, social and emotional assessments and observations as well as a parent interview. I did this to provide effective and descriptive feedback for the parent to guide their progress with the child.
Artifact Name: Children's TV Show and Toy Assessment

Course: EDUC121 Child Development
Description: For this assignment I was required to go to the toy section of a store and assess the gender roles that were seen as well as answer some questions about my observations. I was also required to watch a children’s television program and answer questions about the gender roles I witnessed.
Rationale: To demonstrate my knowledge of INTASC Standard #6: Assessment, I have chosen to include my Children’s TV Show and Toy Assessment. In this assignment, I worked independently to examine and test data to have a better understanding of why certain TV shows or toys were directed towards boys or girl. I also examined my own thinking and learning processes when it comes to gender roles in the classroom as well as everyday life.
